Plant-a-Row is an all-volunteer program that encourages farmers and gardeners to donate fresh vegetables and fruit to the Pantry. The initiative here in Rappahannock includes Hoop House for the Hungry, which grows vegetables for the Pantry year round at the Mountain Laurel Montessori Farm School; and a Demonstration Garden, installed by the Rappahannock School Farm-to-Table program to show what individuals can grow in their back yards.
If you are a farmer or gardener and would like more information on plant-a-row (or even if you just have extra produce occasionally), call Mimi Forbes, Pantry Manager, at 540-987-5090 or email her at mimi@rappahannockpantry.org.
